You completed your training as a wedding celebrant and now you are ready to build your business. Or you have been a celebrant for a while and now looking to set a new goal. Sometimes it may feel like everyone else is growing and are ahead of you, or know some things that you don’t. Every individual has their own obstacles but they are confident about moving ahead. It could be that they know confidence is something that you develop over time, not just something we have. Your personality and the vibes you give are the keys as a celebrant that will draw people towards you. Having the confidence in yourself and your skills to create amazing wedding ceremonies is just as important as others. So let’s look at a few ways that will help build your confidence:
·
Be a Part of the Community:
Sometimes,
all we need is a little nudge that shows us that we are not alone and there are
other people who have the same doubts. Whether talking about these things
openly or just simply listening to other people’s experiences, joining a
celebrant community can immensely boost your confidence and give you the
inspiration to grow your business. The community of celebrants supports and
looks out for each other so don’t hold you back from being a part of that
community.
·
Defines Goals for your Business:
You don’t
see the results on the day you start. Just like everything else, confidence
also takes time and planning a good strategy. You need to define your goals for
the future, both short-term and long-term. Imagine what your future should look
like and be as detailed as you can for your end goal. Once you have your plan
ready, work every day a little towards your success as a wedding celebrant. Be
it doing more than 100 wedding ceremonies in a year or branching out to
officiate all over the world, own it, and work for it.
·
Focus on your Strengths:
Identify
what your strengths are and work to develop those skills. Why focus on areas
that you are not great at when you can be amazing at what you do the best.
Knowing your strength will get you clients that you would love to work with
rather than having lots of bookings with couples with whom you won’t connect.
Apart from that, if you think a particular skill is necessary for your niche
then don’t hesitate to step out of your comfort zone. Such things can scary at
first but you need to focus on your strength and overcome those fears.
Practicing the things that scare you will boost your confidence like no other.
